My Chamber

Monster's reaping through my brain Intense demons guide my navigational chart Some raging savior barely keeps me sane Curses of the earth rape my heart My knees grind the dust, shake my pain I walk with everyone so far apart I look at myself an unwanted stain Scars burning the inside, sewn on the out These menaces like cancer, just smile and wave Oh for the gut to stand up and shout But no, just stay in a shallow grave Keep eyes shut while still staring about Ignorance is bliss, innocence will save Come whisper bravery in my ear Good-Bye hindering, sacred hive I'll stand up and shout, Can they hear? They hear me! Attention does arrive They stare at me! Mockery now does steer They strike me! But still I do survive. Written April 21st, 2002 © on Apr 21 2002 01:00 AM PST   0 • 9
