Sweet girl **challenge**
By Guinevere3
"You are such a sweet girl..." She said with a deceptive smile As she pranced up the staircase merrily Awaiting discussions of my worthwhile... "We only want the best for you..." That is why they lock me away From all that they know and love All that they left in this ash tray... "You are not strong enough..." To do anything or be half of what They are not or more than they invent Dismissing my name in stories Of their journeys to seem content... Constant illness, of stress or of pain Created by the lonliness that My mother and father create for fair gain Instead of embracing my colorful hat... I'm not like my sister, She's perfect in form And she never colored outside Of the lines in the storm... The storm I created At least they said that The caos I created At least they knew that... But why did they missuse the gift Of my birth, leaving a fog Of maddness starvation away Tearful in silence drinking egg nog... Weeping alone, and they wonder why I live with insecurity I live with no faith Weeping alone, and they wonder why, Cause perfection seems simple to those not enslaved Written March 17th, 2002 © on Mar 18 2002 01:25 AM PST 20 • 0 • 1
