A Dream for P
By Gwion
In silky, silver silence do we sleep, Wand'ring towards the glistening of the moon's hypnotic light. Threads of dewy moonweb tracing footsteps in the sand Ever-present in the slumber of this night. In solitude, we tread a lonely trail. Listless, twisting hands, we grasp at tenderness again. We scarcely realize the face we long so much to hold Is really just our own, dissolved in pain. In quiet, nighttime bliss the stars are singing: Mournful, wailing, raining on our stardust-showered cheeks. Blinded by the tears of lust, the fear we’ve come to taste Is just a silky, silver night that leaves us weak.1998, This is an older poem that I felt I had to share. Written at a critical turning-point in my life as I was getting to know someone who would, one day, be the central pillar of my universe. Written March 25th, 2002 © on Mar 25 2002 12:54 AM PST 0 • 8
