Conception (for V)
By Gwion
In flashing glimpses of strobes I saw an idea Grasped it Touched thought And a thousand sleepless nights Of inspiration In throbbing beats I danced to my imagination Poured song onto latex And fused fiction Into blinding art I knew emptiness between ideas And feared failure Was scared to shed light On this new emotion But instead grasped a hollow throb In my heart And filled it with hope I saw Love As a conceivable image And drew forth power To read my own words On his face In the silence between notes, I fell in love with a dream A concept I invented in a hundred poems A thousand photographs And billions of hours lost in fantasy And saw him take his first breath As reality took it's tender hold On what I had always hoped forI know, I know, this is total mush and blather, but it's for him. He deserves it :o) Written January 22nd, 2002 © on Jan 22 2002 01:44 PM PST 18 • 0 • 8
