String of Pearls
By Gwion
i ate a string of pearls tentative words lingering on frail threads of veins, each one glistening, a drop of sweat, a bead of juice lapped from your thighs, balancing on my tongue resting before rolling down the abyss of my throat. i ate jewels off your body, each gem a morsel of taste, salt, tang syllable of male flesh i gathered coins that were shadows resting in hollows of skin, joints, fingers, soft valleys of muscle. i reaped rich rewards of silver in fields of hair, breathed ambergris and myrrh rising heated, moist. i dreamed lush fabrics, silks and licked every inch of parchment between your crown and toes. i filled my quill with ink from your eyes, scribed poetry upon your naked body and drank my own words, lapped pearls from your flesh.
