Mirror This
By h2whoa
Just imagine how it felt when I punched through to the other side. My arm was coated in liquid silver and My mouth filled with butterflies. I saw I felt I thought I knew That a cry emerged from an inverse world. But when I looked up with red web eyes I saw a rusting man with a river Of cotton spilling forth for words. A silver hand was at his throat. Where was the girl who knew she was gold? She danced with eagles on the mountain top As a killer licked his lips. She cleansed herself beneath a waterfall Of black rose petal lies Whilst powder-glass gales Stroked her serpentine face. A battle-weary warrior fell face down in the river With liquid silver wounds. His body stayed where it lay And she carried him downstream. I saw I felt I thought I knew A vague visitation from a visceral world. But when I saw what I thought I knew I felt nothing but remorse. The smell of pine assaults my nose. Mirror this, Before the cataclysm, Mirror this. For those who didn't like the original ending. What do you think?
