You and I can be flying free as a bird - just imagine and let it be. The secret? I've been crying, waiting, hoping with lonesome tears in my eyes - I'm down, I'm a loser without your love in my life eight days a week. I need you, not another girl! Oh, darling, I call your name - but I just don't understand why we said the things we said today. It's just a rumor and I should have known better. No more! It's too much monkey business! I want to come together to get back with you! I'm happy just to dance with you... I want to hold your hand. I've got a feeling it's only love. Across the universe you're the one! This boy won't be a nowhere man. Baby, it's you! All you need is love, so, from me to you I can only offer all my loving. Thank you, girl! But, if you want to slow down, that's all right - I'll be on my way and you can have your young blood! I'll cry instead. You won't see me, and when I'm 64 I'll get you! Ooh! My soul! I'm looking through you! Things don't ever change, no matter how hard we try. You'd better run for your life, because I'll be back! I feel fine - glad all over! Ask me why you don't bother me... And that's a little rhyme from both of me. 4/2/2002I'm going to diverge from jen's directions slightly inasmuch as the poem looks like heck with all the {} brackets in it. I will post the poem without them and make a list afterward with all the song titles in the order in which they appear in the piece. I apologize for this, but my esthetic sense doesn't allow for the brackets where they don't belong (grin). My band is..... the Beatles (I AM a product of the 60's!)
