Christmas Prayer

Christmas Prayer This Christmas... May the wishes for peace on Earth At last establish global worth. May mothers' fears and desperate hope Be quieted so they may cope And families now torn asunder Reunite in time of wonder. This Christmas... May the hungry and the destitute Find succor in our resolute And human will at last to end The suffering and start to mend Man's broken dream of paradise. We make our own... that's no surprise. This Christmas... May the dreaded specter of disease In human minds be put at ease. May Science find divine insight To fuel the universal fight Against the pain and devastation Wracking each and every nation. This Christmas... May the family now gathered here Its mission form and resound clear, The love we share support us all, For all must stand so none will fall. United purpose serves our goal... The bell of destiny begins to toll. That said and done I call upon Whatever spirits we rely on To guide us from this moment forth So each fulfill potential worth. May peace and joy abound this year. May each of us live without fear. Prosperity and health be our reward And purpose be our two-edged sword. Amen. 12-17-2001 Written December 17th, 2001 © on Dec 17 2001 02:56 AM PST, Heinz Scheuenstuhl    0 • 12
