Fragments (part 1)
By heinzs
Fragments (1) Black shapes slither in the dark shadows, flitting through the sight at the corners of my eyes. My mind sees them only as movement - undefined creatures lurking at the edge of light. Are they demons seeking some mischief, impish in intent? I fear their hidden motive. They hound my trail, following my steps through the darkened streets - ever seeming to close in. I walk faster, my goal approaches - safety in numbers my only chance. The streetlamps and the noise from the bar seem to keep the shadows at bay. Gratefully I join the revels of the ignorant crowd. But what shall I do at closing time? 3/4/2002 Written March 11th, 2002 © on Mar 11 2002 02:59 PM PST, Heinz Scheuenstuhl 0 • 10
