Grain of Salt

Why does man revel so in twisting words to suit him? Anything can be proven by interpretation of a phrase and the choice of a line. A lie becomes truth, fantasy becomes reality, a part of what was said becomes the sum and total. We read between the lines and take fragments out of context, and then with dedication and blind faith defend to the death the ascribed translation. What is just as sad, when in reverse truth becomes fiction and society's blind eye is focused against bold and tangible fact. Creaturs of intellect and logic, we must foster these attributes. Examine closely what we are spoon-fed and rely on our powers of observation and analytical reason. Look with a clear, jaundiced eye. Listen with an open mind. Feel with compassion and above all, ask questions! Flavor your life with a grain of salt! 11-13-2001 Written November 13th, 2001 © on Nov 13 2001 01:43 AM PST, Heinz Scheuenstuhl    0 • 9
