In a Churchyard, Grieving
By heinzs
In a Churchyard, Grieving In the churchyard was a man upon his knees, and he began to moan and wail. I heard him cry "Why, oh why, oh why did you die?" I could not pass but asked him, "Mister - was this a loved one? Wife, or sister?" "Nay, " he said, "That is not so. This was a man I did not know." "Why, then," I said,"Could you reveal the source of sorrow that you feel?" "This one man's death has ruined my life - the former husband of my wife!" 3-7-2002This is the example for my challenge "take an old joke you know and rewrite it in poetic format with defined meter and rhyme.
