Ruminations (part 3)

Ruminations (part 3) "Late, by myself, in the boat of myself, not light and no land anywhere, cloud cover thick. I try to stay just above the surface, yet I'm already under and living within the ocean." ~~~~~~~~~~Rumi How often do we feel like we are only treading water... almost drowned by the circumstances that surround us in our daily lives. Perhaps if we were only once to give in... to relax our struggle... perhaps we would discover, to our great amazement, that we do not have to swim, supporting ourselves on the surface. We are, in fact, the fish of God's ocean, and all we need do is let in the sea, accept it as our home, our own, and let our dormant gills sustain us. During our own, human embryonic state, there is a time wherein our developing form physically manifests these gills, as well as flippers and a tail. We can swim before we are born... therefore need not be forlorn. God's grace will buoy us despite fears on this ocean of our tears. 12/28/2001 Written December 28th, 2001 © on Dec 28 2001 11:44 AM PST, Heinz Scheuenstuhl 0 • 12
