I was there for youBut you weren't there for meI longed for your presenceBut you longed for my absenceI couldn't wait to hold you closeBut you couldn't wait to push me awayI loved you for youBut you loved me for my possessionsWhy did you not love me?Why did you look only skin deep?I had so much love to giveBut all you wanted were giftsWhy didn't I see this side of you?Why was I so blind?I guess I tried to bring out the good sideBut instead I screwed up againSo I'll say goodbye foreverAnd cry myself to sleep tonightBut you'll shrug it offAnd find someone to feed you greedWith no thought for their feelingsYou continue this path of destructionDestroying yet another boy's heartWith a crooked love Written November 24th, 2001 © on Nov 24 2001 11:17 AM PST 0 • 1
