Give Me Hope...

By HomeGrown

Long, long lost innocence, so fragrant, and light. Forget your troubles, baby girl, enjoy the night. Drown your sadnesses in that old, smoky room. And don't let any-ones' light invade, your precious gloom, No, no, no... No, oh no... You think 'what have i done, to make it be this way'? But it's not your fault he kissed your love away. I think he's on that devil's road, leads nowhere. I know, I've tread upon it, too, without a care. ooh, foot after foot, without a care I've also lost a love, the best friend I'd ever known. And now for near eight years, I've walked this world alone. I could not let her feel my love, or see my pain. And now I'll never hold her in these arms again. No, no, no... Oooh, oooh, no... But life will go on for you, or so I am told. And you'll let someone bring your heart out of the cold. And when you find him please, oh please, let me know. I'd like to see your smilin' face, and see you glow. And give me hope... Give me hope... Long, long lost innocence, so fragrant, and light. Forget your troubles, baby girl, enjoy the night. And give me hope... Give me hope...A song of mine. One of the few slow ones.. Written January 13th, 2000 © on Aug 23 2001 05:29 PM PST, DeTavis   0 • 20
