Romantic Decadencelove is so sweetthe confusion it createsthe lies we tell ourselvesroses and babies breathexpensive, foreign chocolatestake a walk with me babemidnight on the beachmid summer afternoonin central parkperhaps to the corner storefor the first copy of the paperat 4:30 in the morningbut i will show you a good timea real good timei will call without warningat work or at homejust to show i carei will bring you giftsthe kind that enticeinflameand unloosenjust to show i can afford your lovei will laugh with your parentsread to your childrenand enjoy your friendsfancy restarauntsexotic weekend getawaysdiamonds and pearlsthe jewels will be locksthe chainsthose of bondagei will buy youi will own youyou will become an artifacta symbolic trinketin my  shrine to romantic decadenceThis is what some people call love. The part that baffles me is that others believe it is real, and fall for it every time, only to later ask themselves, 'why'. Funny thing is, they create several answers, but always fall for it again.
