The Song of Then
By HomeGrown
with aching eyes i see my destiny has opened widewith a freakish speed, i quickly turn and try to run and hideknowledge of what the future brings, a curse upon my 'now'ravaging boundaries of my soul, not even knowing howmy tomorrow bleak and ruined for mistakes i've made todaytry as i might i cannot seem to make it go awayi knew, yes i knew even then, they'd be the end of meand yet i made great friends of them, i, my mistakes, and meto think back and try to understand just why it worked this wayis still a task i can't endure perhaps another daybut do you think, perhaps someday, you'll love me once againand help return the song of now, to that great song of then?Sometimes there just isn't anything to say.
