As Was, May Be

As I walk down this path this path behind my eyes Memories believed in once but now have turned to lies In these times of treason I find within my mind looking for the reasons and searching for my kind I continue my journey looking at the earth walking through a forest searching for rebirth As I make my way my way through some trees a bird looks down in wonder gliding in the breeze The bird begins a tune The bird begins to tweet and I look up to the sky to hear the sound so sweet There is no visible moon this day up above in the sky instead some clouds moving no beauty to my eye The wind is still blowing and loosens off a tree a leaf start a twirling and is heading just for me I stop to watch it dance I watch it all in calm open my hand to catch it but it lands within my palm I begin my travel again as the clouds move across the sky I stop to look up then a cloud forms before my eye this seems so strange the cloud takes your silhouette this seems to be arranged that much I can bet I close my eyes then awaken cause I can't believe what's done the sky starts to open a brilliant ray of sun Now that I am blind I close my eyes again to see your silhouette traced in my sight again A thought then comes over me that spring has just begun the thoughts of me worshiping you that time it has to come Written March 20th, 2002 © on Apr 06 2002 08:55 AM PST, Christopher J.
