Truer Colours

By IndyDom316

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

Turquoise isn't a colour Neither is Chartreuse Burghundy's a figment no more real than puce Red, Yellow, Green and Black Blue purple and white Those are the colors of the world as plain as day and night No pansy teals, no snippy pastels invade my plain of life, when you add these different hues they add nothing but strife much simpler life would be if it were black and white with no grays or greys or graeys to complicate my plight So what without these hues it's hard for ideas to be? They do nothing but distract and make it harder to be me. So you can think in verdent or indigo if you wish But you will never find any burnt sienna upon my dish Written February 20th, 2002 © on Feb 20 2002 06:49 AM PST   0 • 14
