New Years...

By introubleintx

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

It's New Years we are apart I'll spend the night with my broken heart. You lied again. You promised you'd stay. But drinking again, got in the way. Now you're locked up and I'm alone the kids and I, are on our own. As the kids grow up and away from you there's no going back what will you do? Three years from now when you return the years you missed are for what you'll yearn. I can't bring them back nor share a memory of the things you missed while away from me. I can only hope your lesson you learn and to prison you'll never return.I think it speaks for itself. :) Written December 31st, 2001 © on Dec 31 2001 03:49 AM PST, Deborah Wolz   18 • 0 • 1
