The Final

By introubleintx

Twas the day before finals, and all through the class, You could see the students hoping they'd pass. Homework was finished, and lessons were through. As the teacher announced, "It's time to review, So open your books, take plenty of notes, you can't pass this class by popular vote." And the teacher she started the book she went over, what seemed to the students like cover to cover. Then as the bell rang, it was time to go home as the students filed out, you heard them grumble and groan. "How can she do this, it's our last day. Surely she won't make us go out that way." So the students went home and all pulled all-nighters, wanting to show her, they were all fighters. They came into class, with very little rest having studied all night for this final test. As they came in the room and all took their seats, you could have heard even the smallest mouse squeak. She asked them to please clear off their desks, thats when they saw it, this monstrous last test. As she handed the final out one by one, the students they thought "We'll never get this done" Then she turned towards her pupils And said "Give it your best" Then smiling she told them, "It's an open book test!"This was something my mom, who is a teacher at college, asked me to write. She started it with the first two lines, and told me what she wanted it to say. Hope you enjoy! PS..Finals suck! Written November 11th, 2001 © on Nov 11 2001 02:10 PM PST, Deborah Wolz    0 • 7
