The Stars

By introubleintx

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

The stars how they twinkle in the night sky above, Shining ever so brightly like the past of our love. As you look to the sky, do you see it too? Do the stars remind you when our love was new? Some stars they burn, so strong and so bright, While others you can hardly see in the night. Those stars they reflect how I feel about you, How our love burned bright, when our love was new. I wish I could say it was how I feel now, But our love has dimmed through the years, somehow. I wish I could bring back those days, When our love was bright, and never let it fade. Alas I know, you can't bring it back. Just like the stars, love dims, thats a fact. Unless you work to keep it shiny and bright, Love can fade to black, like the stars in the night.
