The earth is rising The end is near Her heart is broken Filled with fear Never the same Innocence lost She never realised The depth of the cost Freedom she found From the depths of despair Color was everything Darkness was rare But there are always consequences When you sell your soul To let go of the world To make yourself whole Deals just don't last Satan is cruel Will find your weakness Will play you for a fool Reality has struck So sudden it came She realises now That it was never a game Her eyes have unshut The colour had faded The world is not bright But dank and jaded No where to go No where left to run No light to be found Nothing remains of the sun She stands alone Her decision is made Turn her back to the world With the light she shall fade Now she must go For Dusk is calling And Nothing is left To stop her from falling Written February 18th, 2002 © on Feb 18 2002 09:57 AM PST 0 • 9
