I watched you livein a world of a childPretending, enjoying; laughter and sillinessI watched you growOlder; more wiseI saw you exploring, wondering, discoveringAnd I watched the kids tease,Call you this name and thatAnd I just stood back; an outsider looking inAnd I watched you love mewith those sad green eyesI watched you, watching me...For what seemed like forever.I see you getting frustratedGrowing up is getting harder.I watch you experiment, change, regressinto someone we use to hate;someone I hate.I watch someone I didn't know any more..And I saw my love grow in desperation,As yours fades in defeat.
