It's Hard to Say Goodbye
By Jane
A basketful of fall overflowing with red and gold, a shawl of diamond snow, and never feel the cold, a necklace of spring, a ring of summer's glow, to take along earth's seasons when it's my time to go. Deep pockets full of love lasting through the years, a purse with children's laughter coming after tears, memories of music, that stirred my heart so; precious earthly baggage when it's my time to go. For what is left behind, I'll meet God with a sigh, and wonder at His Heavens, but it's hard to say goodbye. Written October 9th, 2001 © on Oct 09 2001 10:21 AM PST 18 • 0 • 1
