Wishes, Spells and Potions
By janmew
If I found a fairy, afloat upon the breeze and if one wish was all that she could offer me, I’d know without a thought the wish that I would make would be to have you here so your hand I could take. If I found an ancient lamp; set the genie free, and in her gratitude one wish she granted me, I would not wait to ask to have you by my side where the love in my eyes would never have to hide. If there was a witch who could cast a magic spell to fill my heart’s desire, which she’d know very well, ‘twould be to taste your lips in love’s sweet tender kiss and hold you in my arms awash in lover’s bliss. But if there was a gypsy peddling her wares, she could keep her potions and sell them at the fairs, for I already love you, and you love me too; no potion in the world could make our love more true.
