THE ABYSS

By japrile

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

A  poet's insatiable longing, the urge to destruction and ruin, to rip away at the foundation of relations carved from ice and glitter, to trap the true and only devil in its lair of indifference, to sever the heart of greed from the body of men, to open up the infinite, to reveal the longing and the dread. A poet's endless search for elusive freedom, for the center of desire, for the infinite textures of the flesh, for the extent and extremes of human love. A poet's love of wisdom and the benevolence of contempt, a natural disdain for ardor and false promise. A poet's insatiable yearning and thirst for freedom and the inevitable downfall of dreams.
