Dear David
By Jara
My sad attempt to make ammends is in the following lines. Tonight sorrow filled I write once again trying to rearrange all I so naturally disgrace they say some were born freedom's fool if this be true I am of they tell attempting to tame the wind empty net yet again so sweet boy here is a poem from my heart for you. DEAR DAVID I came to search the moon's face for a sign of hope and I sat near silent oceans pondering life's simplicities awakening a modern birth of god unseaming me my weariness left me I died while alive along time ago I asked heaven to send me a dream one with wings one that will never be forsaken my dream unfolded before me like the ribbon rays of a moring sun I lived among the dead Then one day I pleaded heaven to send me a child one that walks with the sun a child forever young I watched you fall from the sky Child all I had left was a dream I gave to you now all I can do is breathe my dream into you and as I came I also left but not unchanged and perpetually marked I left to mend a ruined home among loved ones turned strangers long ago I left to free my soul Tonight I pray child I am but a comforting thought with this in mind I thought we must have a song a melody to remind me of the times we've shared our song never played I tried to write it but the words never came funny how I can dance to an unwritten tune for all sung are unworthy of my love for you but when I remember lost times my heart strums away untamed accompanied by words I still don't comprehend so if the wind blows you my way my love will be here as it was before in it's own bizarre way dancing to our song I leave with one simple request Don't let me fall from you mind Dont let me fall from your heart Written February 26th, 2002 © on Feb 26 2002 05:55 AM PST 0 • 10
