Tomorrow's Rise

By JazzyPoet

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

As I watch tomorrow rise Faintly in the east, Gossamer clouds shimmer Orange and pastel pink. Dim the pale southern stars As the ebony sea's Muffled waves mildly break On the lonesome beach; Then a saffron sun appears, Shyly it ascends, Gilding earth and heaven As my prayer is sent. Rising, like the golden star Gleaming on the bay, Swept along to the divine In the rolling waves. In the dawning's breeze I hear Whispers in reply, Carrying your love to me In the 'morrow's rise.
