Failed Beginnings

By jbt919

“It’s not you, it’s me” Is what they all seem to say A long list of failed beginnings Have lead my heart astray I’m tired of repeating the same old line “Don’t worry, I understand” Maybe just for once I’d like to have the upper hand I will never truly know What’s going on in your mind I may be able to see the big picture-- But there are missing pieces I’ll never find So what is there to do? I’ve forgotten how to cry Maybe some day I’ll meet someone And we’ll able to see eye to eye. But until then I’ll just look back On all those failed beginnings And I’ll have to just sit and wonder— If there will ever be an end.
