You Were There
By Jhai
In my deepest darkest hour You were there. You held my head above the threatening black seas. The pain I could not bear, Fetal position, head in knees. You held my hand When all I could do was sit and stare. You stroked my hair and Soothed the pain of life. Reassuring words said spoken gently counteracting what I heard In my head Wishing myself dead. You helped me through The hell of depression. Always giving me the impression Of tender loving care. You were there Even if I wasn't. You helped me survive. Now I'm coming back alive And I can see Your Love is rare. Thanks for being there. K 7-27-987-27-98, I have the most wonderful husband in the world. He really was there for me and I can't say how much he helped me get through the worst time in my life.
