Christmas - I look into his face
By JoffreEssley
I look into his face, my vision blurred by love This little one is surely a gift from God above Who is he that he has come so small, so young, so meek Why do the angels praise him, this little one so weak I am scarce a child, a woman but in name Yet I have borne a child who's won angelic fame By prophets I was told, he'll lift our burdens great He is but a child small, how can he bear such weight? He's young and needs to grow, I'll lift him to my breast I'll feed and give him strength, and then I'll give him rest I know not how to guide this gift, this gift from God above I know but how to hold him and bless him with my loveLast year's christmas card.
