a lonely mind is a desert
By josef david
I've wandered the desert for 19 years, insane from the isolation, enlightened by the infinity, unhappy because of the pointlessness. I've become used to solitude. In my desert I am alone, but I left my loneliness at the desert's edge. I travel the shifting sands as I travel my mind. Each step in the sand, quickly erased by the heated wind, mirrors my past and memories I've lost. My past is the trackless sand. My future is the trackless sand. My present is meaningless because it will be erased. Meaning comes with company. When the wind erases the past, it lives on in the faces of those who were there, but alone the step towards emptiness is reflected by the emptiness left behind. the depressions in the sand fade away, and the depressions in our mind slowly become less potent.
