Mask

Would you still love me if I left youFell into my own despair?Would you still love me if I left youScalded by reality’s glare?Would you blame me if I fellKnees buckling, back arching in pain?Would you blame me if I fell;Unable to withstand the drain?I’m sorry that words hurt me soI’m sorry that I can’t thinkI’m really very sorry to youThat I’m teetering on the brinkThese questions may seem hurtfulBut their answers I do needI really don’t mean to be unkindDrinking your answer with greedI never meant to be stupidI promise I don’t try to failYou’re sure that I’m so strongBut will I or the mask prevail? My first poem posted here - try not to to laugh to loudly if I've messed up. I'd love to have critiques on this - no body has ever given suggestions on my poems, just that it's good. oo; Yes, I know I'm crazy.. but bring it on!
