Monster In the Mirror
By Kane
There's A Monster In the Mirror, One I can't Quite Fear, Because I know the Monsters GooD side, I know Every GooD deed He's Ever Done, Every tear he's Ever Cried, Every truth he's ever told, Every time He's Ever Lied, When I see the Monster In the Mirror, I look In to His Eyes, I see his Hopes And Prayers, I see his Hurt Filled Cries, He creates a facade of Happiness, With the forced smile on his face, He may appear Happy, But when I see him, I see A fucking Nut Case, I see the Things, He thinks He Knows, I've been there with him through all the Blows, The Blows To His Head, As well As the Blows To his Heart, But I can't Seem to Fear this monster in the Mirror, Who's soul Seems Almost Torn Apart, When I talk to Him, He speaks about the Hope Given to Him By the Voices, The Voices I already Know So Well, He Speaks About His Assurance In the Lord, And about How He'll Never End Up in Hell, He speaks About Sacraficing His Flesh, But Never His Soul, He Dwells On the Voices Saying, "The Wicked Must Pay A toll", But He's Not Sure if He's not Wicked Himself, But Maybe It's Not A Question of being Wicked Or Righteous, Maybe It's A question Of Mental Health, The Monster in the Mirror, I love Him Dear, but I can't Help but Question, What Exactly is He Capable Of Doing, Especially in these troubled times, Where it seems like Evil is Everywhere and so many WaRs Are Brewing, The Monster in the Mirror Fears God, So sometimes I wonder if He's A Monster at all, "But All In All He's Just Another Brick In the Wall" Written April 13th, 2002 © on Apr 13 2002 06:25 AM PST 0 • 13
