Hard And Soft

By Karen

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

I am hard to know. I have a heart that smacks as well as beats and teeth enough still, to make a mark. I've lost so many important things pinned like butterflies stuck through the bellies, wings and still they slipped away or asked to be released; I guess Petra rchan dark is where they'll stay strumming a form that's far from real to me. I am not velvet- I am flint. While velvet cushions softly, flint will spark and some, they need more nuzzling than light. Written December 29th, 2001 © on Dec 29 2001 12:29 AM PST   18 • 0 • 8
