I Don't Want the Outside In
By kat14903
Don't ask questions, don't think for yourself. All the answers are in the books on the shelf. If it's new and different, shoot it down. Make sure you criticize, and wear a frown. Go through the motions, We'll applaud right from the start. Don't dare risk or trust God with your heart. Just be sickenly sweet and look real nice. Keep your mouth shut, as your heart turns to ice. I'm just a little christian wind up toy. Turn my key and watch me lose my joy. Creativity, spontanaety and enthusiasm go out the door. Watch me run down and hit the floor. Wounded and hurting, trying to hold on. Just to keep believing in God, until the next dawn. To see His promises really come true. As the cynicism fades, He still Loves you. This was written by my husband several years ago. He asked me to post this and share it with you.
