The Forgotten Toy
By kat14903
I have only one eye. The young child tore off the other one when I was young. My stuffing is coming out. The child played tug of war with the dog. I have only one ear. The child decided I needed a haircut. The child would pick me up by my legs. I would be so dizzy, by the time I was set down. The child would pick me up, with those peanut butter and jelly hands. That is why my fur is so mangled. The Child, he has grown up. Now he is away at school. I have been forgotten. Here I sit in this dark dusty room. On this same old shelf, all alone. Waiting.... For a new child to come and play with me. Written October 28th, 2001 © on Oct 28 2001 12:12 PM PST 0 • 10
