Garden Party
By Kittie
In the midst of the forest Beneath all trees Lives a little leprechaun With the name of A’aron McGee At the bottom of the hill Where the mist is the thinnest You’ll find him sipping tea With the Fey Folk in attendance The faerie wings shimmered a rainbow As they danced in the moon light On the fiddle played by one Spriggle McDougal Wee sprites with star burning eyes Drops of the moonlight they become When the night’s nearly done Undines with water sparkling laughs Entertained the gnomes (husbands) While their nymph children played In the stream of Split O’plash The banshees sing Though not the wailing kind A song of a tale about The Lady and the Whale As the celestial Moon Goddess turns to have her rest The Gods of the Sun leave their mistress’ Seeing the Gods come The undines return to their Lake With them their children they take The sprites vanish Into the blades of grass they become Spriggle McDougal takes her fiddle Goes into her mushroom with her servants the gnomes They help to make the sprig feel more ‘at home’ Banshees absorb into the trees While they become one Turning into leaves that gently fall onto the stream With the upcoming of the Sun A’aron McGee’s hosting duties are done Until to-morrow night When Kit’e the Pixie (wife) returns And wants some unbidden fun...i'm just trying something different... i wrote this while looking at a pic of my bf whom i nick named my little leprechaun when he doesn't shave! :) Written March 9th, 2002 © on Mar 08 2002 07:22 PM PST 10 • 0
