Burning Bridges

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

There was a bridge between me and you It seemed to be so beautifully true I crossed over the bridge, you won my heart You dide'nt seem one to tear it apart I trusted you when I let you in I easily let our love begin Little by little you drifted away you got farther from me every day I looked at the bridge between you and me The one that caused the misery The beauty was gone along with our love shattered in pieces beyound and above I left the bridge to be a reminder to me Of a love never truly meant to be But time has made the seasons turn All I see now is a bridge to burn Written November 14th, 2001 © on Nov 15 2001 03:13 PM PST   10 • 0 • 1
