An Escape

By Kristin Johnson

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

This is my field of vacancy. Ignoring angst and concern when I need to collapse, lose myself in a pattern. I experience elation-- dive in with naked feet and tangled tresses. In this realm of artistry, I feel my surroundings are enamored of me. A disguise from surveillance or a promise of seclusion I will not resent possibility here. There is no distinction between reality and hope. This is an escape from my everyday. Written July 29th, 2000 © on May 03 2001 11:08 AM PST   0 • 12
