By Lawrence

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

Sickness engulfs me. It begins from within. I wonder if they'll cure me? I wonder if I'll win? This battle called living, and this dreaded disease. All are so painful. I'm down on my knees. I'm to weak to stand up. I'm to tried to try. I wait for the day now. For I'm soon going to die. It's now taken over. Its killed me inside. All I can do now, is hang on for the ride. I'm to weak to wake now. I'm to tired to scream. But don't worry about me, it's not as bad as it seems. I am really tired now. So I'm going to rest. I won't be waking up. But I wish you the best. With that I lay down my pen and Then say good-bye. Don't worry about me friend, I'm not afraid to die... Written December 3rd, 2000 © on Oct 28 2001 06:53 AM PST   18 • 1
