As I aimlessly trudge through the halls Following my pointless routine I observe the infectious trap That has swallowed me for three years The walls are dark Unwelcoming and macabre The lights bleach my spirit …Yet never seem to reach my soul Meandering to the next stop On this trek of never-ending conformity I look around To better understand my sentence I’m no better than my fellow prisoners Just tired of this voluntary repression I do not belong within these walls …And I have not Since I discovered free will With each fading day, My disappointment and frustration grows As I reach for my goal of insurrection And aspire to finally start living After years of merely Existingi am so utterly frustrated now...!
