My Heart's Paradox

My  Hearts Paradox Where there had once only been Fearful emptiness, There is now unfolding A wealth of vitality. A beauty, Unearthed and perfected Brought to light As if by flicking on a switch. I've discovered the glorious healing force of the universe THE FORCE OF LOVE. I'm breaking the chains of old beliefs. Fears that have kept me in bondage. I'm growing toward A more fullfilling, more enriched life. I realize now, That I have been clutching my past So tightly to my chest That it has left my arms Too full to embrace my present. I have turned people Into objects of my games, Rather than subjects of my heart. The curtains of my heart Are unfolding Like the petals of a flower Illuminating my soul, Exposing the core of my being. The walls of my heart Are crumbling around me, Leaving me open and afraid. I see your outstretched hand Reaching out to me, Trembling with kindness, YET~ I am afraid to take it. BUT~ If you dig deep within yourself You will reappear with a key This key will open up my heart When it is feeling afraid. Here is how to care for me When I am with fear. Move slowly, As if approaching a butterfly, Have calm, Gentle eyes. Stay centered from my panic, THEN...... When we reach this place of safety.... JUST HOLD ME!
