Changing Light
By LiteraryBear
As I walk slowly down the path that I have taken almost everyday of my life, the light changes, and I see everything anew. Every stone in the road stands out with startling clarity. Each leaf on each tree holds a wealth of beauty made known only to those who care to look. The wind blows against my skin, and I feel the fine grains of earth carried on the currents of air, as well as smell all the glorious scents of nature. I stop and revel in this fantastic awakening, but as soon as I stop to take hold of it, a cloud once agains covers the sun and everything is restored to its former hue. A sad moment, without a doubt, but I am left with the knowledge that life can be more than shadows and repeating scenery. Written April 9th, 2002 © on Apr 09 2002 07:51 AM PST 10 • 0 • 13
