Gone to a Droplet
By LitOnFire
Drip by drip words are chipping away at my peace of mind. I want to drink the water, your tears are just the same. My face must seem so plain. You have to remind yourself of my name. No negotiating, relating, impossible. Let me take care of you. Let me cry in your restless arms. Waiting takes to long. Impatience is my moral, as you wipe the hate off your hands. Tears are useless, so are smiles that only last in a forgotten memory, left untouched, left to die. Why can't tomorrow be like the day we stood in the rain, and it soaked our skin, but we didn't care. It glistened as droplets formed at the ends of you hair, and ran down your face. Then like a finger running across your lips. You were all mine, and Drip by Drip I lost you. This is one of my favorites that I have ever written.
