I should have known

Two years ago on Valentines Day I gave my mom a pig A cute little pig She loved pigs Then that saturday she came over Doing better I thought Walking better Getting up from a chair better She looked good Thursday I should have known that something wasn't right 7:10 am driving my bus. My chest hurt Having problems breathing My arm hurt What is going on Called on the radio I can't drive Someone came and got me Took me back to the lot Told don't come back until you see a doctor Went home called the doctor Got an appointment for 10 am Got there early But funny thing is the computers went down Waited in the little room It seemed like forever Finially the doctor came in at 10 am Went back to work. Could have gone home Could have relaxed for awhile Could have done anything but gone back to work Went back to work Everything is fine Pager hadn't gone off all day Nothing to worry about My little one there Myself no one else Fifteen calles on the caller ID From my dad's house. How odd An emergancy surely he would have paged me I thought Called the number My brother answered Come to dad's house now He repeatedly said Have to wait for husband I said Why, What's wrong? What's going on? Then he said mom died this morning I should have known The death certificate says she died at 10 am I know she died at 7:10 am I should have known Written February 14th, 2002 © on Feb 14 2002 11:39 AM PST   18 • 0 • 1
