Princess

By lostrequiem

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

I used to think I knew you - The princess in her kingdom in the clouds, her prince charming and white horse, her riches and jewels. You and your lady-in-waiting would sit there in your own private world. That everyone wanted to be part of. But once I was part of it. This princess has succumbed to the lure of the witches cauldron. She gets shaken and stirred at times, her prince charming isn't. For all the riches she has, she can never be too happy. Her lady-in-waiting stole the show and left her in her dark world alone.1998, Written October 31st, 2001 © on Oct 31 2001 07:06 AM PST   0 • 10
