Love as a Girl
I will be her queen and she will be mine. With worship, we will survive time. If one of two should falter, we will run, take cover, in a secret place for lovers. We would roll over, in a rose petal bathing of the love we are saving, dispersed along our bodies with sweet kisses, we will be playing. And, oh how I will dote on love, my angel. Put flowers in her hair. When she fails to notice, I will show her I still care. If she leaves, I would call to love crying, trying to get her back, dying when it is her I lack. If all survives the test of time, when I die she will be on my mind, in my heart. She and I shall never part. Written November 2nd, 2001 © on Nov 02 2001 08:53 AM PST, Leah Carter 10 • 0 • 8
