~ Censorship - A View

We're different As night, day, all shades of grey We don't always agree And we don't think the same ...Isn't it a miracle Like a rainbow Is made up of all color All levels of intensity Brightness and clarity It is in the combination We become prismatic We are given choice We are given voice We are given reason ...Like magic Life isn't only pretty Or acceptable Sometimes it's obscene Even objectable ...But we breathe the same air And we share the same Loneliness when we're desperate ...Aren't we fortunate This individuality Is the ingredient of human kind And only with maturity Do we learn what is appropriate And what is insecurity starving for attention The power of the mind The power of the word This, Is reality And we, Like writers, Made curious of it all Written November 6th, 2001 © on Oct 21 2002 03:37 PM PST, Wendy Hammond   0 • 10
