The Rain
By MaryHall
Raining out I drove home in the dark rain With a dark haze on my brain Driving in dark rain, hard to see Someone swerved in front of me I heard a sound,a gasp my last scream And the rain comes down And no one is near No one's around And I'm bleeding there on the ground and the rain the rain comes down Raining harder now I try to breathe but I forget how No eyes to see what's happened to me The taste of blood The gurgling in my ribcage What was that they said about God? And the rain,it fell I'm too young I'm too young to go to hell And I'm bleeding there on the ground And the rain the rain comes down And the rain,it fell I'm too young I'm too young to go to hell Who is God? Someone tried to tell me,but oh well Didn't wanna think about it No time to think about it As the rain came down Written January 5th, 2002 © on Jan 05 2002 05:00 AM PST 20 • 0 • 13
